Women's Golf Competes at AAC Fall Preview

The St. Andrews women's golf team competed at the AAC Fall Preview over the last two days at the Link Hills Golf and Country Club in Greenville, TN. The Knights weren't able to compete as a team, as the only two competitors in action for St. Andrews was Erica Boyd (Charlotte, NC) and Michaelah Wise (Lugoff, SC) who went up against 10 other competing schools in the AAC. Although competing individually, both golfers showed tremendous ability over their consistent two day stint on the course.

Michaelah Wise shot an impressive 83 (+11) on day one, and managed to even cut her score on day two today, as she wrapped her afternoon up with a score of 81 (+9). Wise's performance was good enough to earn her in a tie at the 26th position among the 58 talented golfers at the competition.

Following behind Wise, was Erica Boyd who really impressed on the course over her two days of action. Boyd began the tournament on day one with an outstanding 81 (+9) on the day, before posting an 86 (+14) today at day two of the competition. For her efforts, Boyd came away tied for the 31st position againat a talented crop of contestants.

Although the girls competed without an official team, they will be happy with their successful placings agaist other members around the AAC. The women's golf team will be on an extended break for the winter before they pick things back up in Feburary when they play a two day event at Lindsey Wilson College on the 26th.
