2022 AAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships Recap
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. - The St. Andrews Men and Women Track team competed in the 2022 conference championships and came out with great successes.
Leading the men was Kristian Hutchins (SR/Birmingham, AL) who took on the decathlon competition across both days. In the ten-event competition, he became St Andrews Record Holder in three events, the decathlon, 110 HH, and the Pole Vault.
On the way, Hutchins was in second place at the end of day one, and set personal records in 9 of the 10 events, on the way to an overall sixth-place finish.
Richard Edwards (SO/Lillington, N.C.) set the school record in the long jump 3 consecutive times on the way to a 6.61m jump and 8th place finish.
Edwards also led off the 4x100m relay with Bryce Webb (FR/Tampa, Fla.), Shamir Hogan (SO/Whiteville, N.C.), and Xavien Smith (FR/Spring Hope, N.C.). The four knights ran to scoring with a sixth-place finish.
All St. Andrews men's competitors scored in the meet.
