Men's Golf at AAC Spring Championship Recap

Adairsville, G.A. – Men's Golf competed in the AAC Spring Championship where they finished 11th as a team. The Knights were led by Ramon Fernandez-Cano (SO/Madrid, Spain) finishing 23rd in a pool of 62 participants.

Round 1

Ramon Fernandez-Cano led the Knights from the start, shooting a 79 in the first round (par 72). Ezequiel Ruiz (SO/Escobar, Argentina) followed with an 86, Ty Queen (JR/Lavalette, WV) shot a 92, Samuel Moron (SR/Lecheria, Venezuela) a 93 and Milan Minto (FR/Greenville, NC) a 101.

The Knights finished the first round with a score of 350 putting them in 12th after round one.

Round 2

Fernandez-Cano shot a 78 in round two, followed by a 79 from Ruiz to help the Knights improve their score. Samuel Moron improved by two strokes, 91 and Ty Queen shot an 88 to improve by four strokes. Milan Minto finished with a 95, and the Knights were now in 11th place with a 686 total through two rounds.

St. Andrews improved as a team by 14 strokes to move past Union.

Round 3

The Knights stayed consistent in round three, shooting a 339 total as a team.

Ramon Fernandez-Cano finished the event tied for 23rd shooting a 78 and finishing with a 235. Ezequiel Ruiz followed with an 85 giving him a total of 250 after three rounds.

Moron shot an 83, improving by 10 strokes from round one, to gain a total of 267. Ty Queen shot a 95 for a 275 for the event and Milan Minto shot a 93 for a 289 through three rounds.

The Knights finished in 11th for the event, shooting 1025 through all three rounds.
