Men's Golf CIU Spring Invitational Recap

Blythewood, S.C. – St. Andrews Men's Golf finished ninth at the Columbia International Spring Invitational.

Round 1

St. Andrews was led by Ezequiel Ruiz (SO/Escobar, Argentina) in round one, shooting a 78 (par 72). Ty Queen (JR/Lavalette, WV) shot an 84 followed by Ramon Fernandez-Cano (SO/Madrid, Spain) who shot an 85. The Knights finished round one with a team score of 337, putting them in ninth place.

Round 2

Ruiz led the Knights on day two with an 81. Ruiz finished the competition with a 159 total putting him in 23^rd individually. Fernandez-Cano finished in 35^th shooting an 81 in round two and finishing with a 166 total.

Queen stayed consistent with an 84 in round two, placing him tied for 36^th with a 168 total. Milan Minto (FR/Greenville, NC) shot a 180 (54^th) and Samuel Moron (SR/Lecheria, Venezuela) finished with a 193 (59^th) to round out the Knights team. St. Andrews ended both days in ninth place, shooting 336 in round two and a 673 total for the event.

Next Up

St. Andrews will travel to Beaufort, SC to compete in an invitational hosted by the University of South Carolina Beaufort. The event will start March 1^st and end March 2^nd.
