All-MidSouth Conference Team Announced

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Mid-South Conference (MSC) office announced its 2021 All-Conference Team on Thursday, St. Andrews football placed five players on the conference list this season as voted on by the conference coaches

Leading the way for the Knights was Austin Hunt (JR/Fayetteville, N.C.) who was named on the 1st Team All-MSC. Hunt had an impressive 2021 season campaign in which he set a program record in tackles in a season (74) and most tackles in a single game record against Reinhardt (15). Hunt appeared and started in all 10 games for St. Andrews and added at least three tackles in each game. Hunt was also named on the Academic All-MSC Team announced on Nov. 17, 2021.

D'Vonte Allen (SO/Marion, S.C.) was listed three times on the 2nd Team All-MSC, he was named as a top all-purpose back, running back, and return specialist. Allen finished the year with 95 rushes and 570 yards. In nine games he averaged 71.3 yards per game and four rushing touchdowns. As an all-purpose back Allen finished with 126 yards as a punt returner and 166 kick return yards. Allen had a stretch of three games in which he had at least one rush of 60 yards or more.

Also on the 2nd Team was Kashard Cohens (SR/Norfolk, Va.), a team captain, who started in all 10 games for the Knights averaging 101.9 yards a game. Cohens had a receiving touchdown in all but two games and found the back of the endzone twice in three games this year. Cohens' breakout game came at home against Bethel when he finished with 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Rounding out the final All-MSC 2nd team were Marvin Farmer II (SO/Lake City, Fla.) and Myron Jones (SR/Pamplico, S.C.) who were both anchors on the St. Andrews Offensive Line. Both Farmer and Jones appeared and started all 10 games for the Knights.

Jones was also named on the Champions of Character Team and Academic All-Conference that was announced earlier this week.

Cohens and Jones have now been named All-MSC in three consecutive years.

The individual awards and all-conference teams are selected by a vote of the Appalachian Division's coaches. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own players. Twenty-eight players earned first-team all-conference honors and 30 were selected second-team all-conference as voted on by the coaches. Ties for all-conference teams were not broken.
